Definition
** CC and
RC - A "roofing contractor" means a contractor whose services are
unlimited in the roofing trade. Roofing contractors have the
experience, knowledge, and skill to install, maintain, repair, alter,
extend, or design and use materials and items used in the
installation, maintenance, extension, and alteration of all kinds of
roofing, waterproofing, and coating, except when coating is not
represented to protect, repair, waterproof, stop leaks, or extend the
life of the roof.
Experience
Needed to Apply
ROOFING CONTRACTOR:
4 year
construction-related degree from an accredited college (equivalent to
3 years experience) and 1 year proven experience applicable to the
category for which you are applying, or
4 years
proven experience as a workman or foreman of which at least one year
must have been as a foreman, or
2 years proven
experience as a workman, 1 year proven experience as a foreman, and 1
year of credits for any accredited college level courses, or
1 year
proven experience as a workman, 1 year proven experience as a foreman,
and 2 years of credits for any accredited college level courses.
And,
ROOFING CONTRACTOR:
Experience
must be in the installation, maintenance and alteration of all kinds of roofing/waterproofing including, but not limited to, roll
roofing, single-ply, built-up roofing, metal roofing, shingles,
shakes, tile, modified
bitumen, cold process, caulking, sealants and foam.
