Definition
CR and RR - A
"residential contractor" means a contractor whose services are limited
to construction, remodeling, repair, or improvement of one-family,
two-family, or three-family residences which are not more than two
stories and the "accessory use structures" in connection with these
buildings. An accessory use structure would be a garage, guest house,
garden shed, or other outbuilding.
Experience Needed to
Apply
RESIDENTIAL CONTRACTOR:
4 year
construction-related degree from an accredited college (equivalent to
3 years experience) and 1 year proven experience applicable to the
category for which you are applying, or
4 years proven
experience as a workman or foreman of which at least one year must
have been as a foreman, or
2 years proven
experience as a workman, 1 year proven experience as a foreman, and 1
year of credits for any accredited college level courses, or
1 year proven
experience as a workman, 1 year proven experience as a foreman, and 2
years of credits for any accredited college level courses.
And,
RESIDENTIAL CONTRACTOR:
At least one year of
*STRUCTURALLY-RELATED experience in
residential construction.
*STRUCTURALLY-RELATED
experience is defined as experience in four or more of the
following areas:
Site-work,
excavation, footings, piles and pile caps, laying concrete slabs/decks,
masonry walls, trusses, wood
framing, reinforcement bar, steel erection, column erection
and form-work.
