Definition
CG and RG - A "general contractor"
means a contractor whose services are unlimited as to the type of work
which he or she may do.
Experience Needed to Apply
GENERAL CONTRACTOR:
-
4 year
construction-related degree from an accredited college (equivalent to
3 years experience) and 1 year proven experience applicable to the
category for which you are applying, or
-
4 years proven
experience as a workman or foreman of which at least one year must
have been as a foreman, or
-
2 years proven
experience as a workman, 1 year proven experience as a foreman, and 1
year of credits for any accredited college level courses, or
-
1 year proven
experience as a workman, 1 year proven experience as a foreman, and 2
years of credits for any accredited college level courses.
And,
At least one year of
*STRUCTURALLY-RELATED experience in commercial construction of four or
more stories.
*STRUCTURALLY-RELATED
experience is defined as experience in four or more of the
following areas:
Site-work,
excavation, footings, piles and pile caps, laying concrete slabs/decks,
masonry walls,
trusses, wood framing, reinforcement bar, steel erection, column
erection
and form-work.
